Bundesliga round 32: HSV 2 - 1 Stuttgart

HSV played (on the whole) superbly, as they produced a battling performance to beat Stuttgart 2-1, in front of 54,128 in the AOL Arena this afternoon, and in doing so... silence their critics following the 0-6 drubbing away to the new Bundesliga champions Werder Bremen, who beat Bayern Munich 3-1 in their own back yard to clinch the title this afternoon.

HSV: Wächter - Fukal, Hoogma, Ujfalusi, Wicky - Schlicke (56. Kling), Beinlich (76. Cardoso), Jarolim - Mahdavikia, Romeo, Barbarez

Stuttgart: Hildebrand - Gerber, Zivkovic, Meira, Lahm (51. Hinkel) - Tiffert, Soldo (46. Heldt), Hleb, Meißner - Szabics (48. Gomez), Cacau

Goals: 1:0 Beinlich (38.), 2:0 Hoogma (47.), 2:1 Cacau (86.)
