We`ve won the league title for the 15th time with a superb 4-0 win against Denizlispor and thanks to Galatasaray`s 4-2 away win against Trabzonspor. The 3rd star is ours - celebrations have begun!
The Denizli Atatürk Stadium was overtaken with Fenerbahçe fans who didn`t stop chanting for one second, and listened closely to news from the Trabzonspor-Galatasaray game.

Everything and everyone was ready for the championship. Christoph Daum`s army was calm and collective but ready to fight from the kick-off. Selçuk was played in well by Ümit Özat on the left, who turned and squared for Pierre van Hooijdonk. The Dutchman`s first time volley screamed into the back of the net in the 8th minute to give us an early lead.

Tuncay broke into the box from the left and finished over Suleymanou in the 12th minute. Meanwhile, news was coming in of Trabzonspor going down to Galatasaray.

The fans were jubilent. The carnaval had begun. As time went on, Galatasaray scored another, just around the time when we extended our lead to 3-0 through captain Ümit`s header onto Serhat`s dead ball cross from the right.

The second half was a mirage for everyone. More goals were scored by our arch rivals Galatasaray, who did us a rare favour by marching to victory against Trabzonspor.

Even the Denizlispor fans were acknowledging our efforts, clapping as we put on our substitutes to get a taste of this massive game.

Sergei Rebrov did well on the left to create space, then crossed to the oncoming Tuncay who headed in in the dying seconds of the game to make it 4-0.

Mustafa Çulcu blew the whistle to declare us the greatest in Turkey for the 15th time!
