Santos Laguna 0-1 River Plate
River achieved an important victory yesterday, in Mexico, when a goal by defender Cristian Tula gave Los Millionarios the advantage in the first leg of the first knock-out round of the Copa Libertadores.
In the first half, the mexicans took control of the game, and had several chances to score, but a good exhibition by keeper, Franco Costanzo, and the defenders kept the River goal safe. In the second half, River leveled the events, and, on a counter-strike, scored by Tula, after a good play by Gallardo. Untill the end of the match, Santos Laguna tried to level the score, but German Lux, that replaced the injured Costanzo, continued the good perfomance of his colleague.
