Fenerbahçe 4-2 Akçaabat Sebatspor

Two goals from Serhat, one each from Tuncay and van Hooijdonk were the answer to Akçaabat Sebatspor`s shock first minute goal on Saturday night. A late reply from the visitors meant the game finished 4-2.
The game started in frantic fashion as Akçaabat Sebatspor scored a controversial goal in only the 50th second of the game. A clearance from the touchline within their own half was thought to have gone out of play, but when the referee waved play on and Selahattin broke free to score.

Three minutes later an equaliser was cancelled for offside, but replays showed Pierre van Hooijdonk was behind the last man when Fabio Luciano flicked the ball on in the area.

A great chance was cleared off the line in the 8th minute Marcio Nobre hit a shot after van Hooijdonk`s initial effort.

The legitimate equaliser came in the 16th minute when the energetic Tuncay Şanlı chipped Metin Aktaş after picking up van Hooijdonk`s knock-down.

Serhat Akın showed signs of his pre-injury days on the right hand side, frequently posing a danger in attacking areas. His run into the area was picked up by Ümit Özat`s long ball, which was followed by a good chest down and a powerful shot past Metin, 2-1.

Another goal was cancelled for offside in the 37th minute when Serhat was judged to be ahead of the last defender.

Our pressure continued to mount and soon after Tuncay squandered a chance, Serhat scored a goal created by van Hooijdonk`s excellent long ball with his left foot, hitting the ball past the keeper who came out of his area before striking on the bounce. The "bull of Kadıköy" was certainly back in style.

Our superiority continued in the second half with overwhelming possession, but the fourth goal didn`t come until the 85th minute when substitute Sergei Rebrov`s corner was put in by van Hooijdonk`s diving header after he lost his marker.

Within seconds, in the typical fashion of the game, former Fenerbahçe player Oktay Derelioğlu scored with a dink over Volkan to once again pull the visitors` deficit to two goals.
