Germany 3 - 0 Belgium
In Cologne, Germany produced a good 3-0 performance against Belgium, on their way towards the Euro 2004.
Germany immediately took the match into their hands as they pressed for an early goal going close twice in the 10th minute as first Herpoel saved on Frings and then Mpenza cleared off the line from Worns.
Frings seemed unstoppable as the Belgian defence was having problems trying to control the German player and in fact just before half time, a corner taken by Frings paved the way for Kuranyi's goal which put Germany 1-0 up by half time.
In the second half, the match kept on the same tracks as Germany kept on pressing for a second goal which nearly arrived from a Schneider's free kick in the 47th minute which went just over the bar.
Second goal which arrived 8 minutes later, in the 55th minute thanks to a quickly taken free kick by Hamann which surprised the whole Belgian rear-guard.
The home side comfortably added a third goal in the 88th minute with Ballack who finished off a set piece to settle the score on a 3-0 win for a good Germany team against a poor Belgium side.
