PSV 0 - 1 NAC Breda (Dutch Cup 1/4 Finals)

PSV fielded a team in which Kezman made a comeback. Vonlanthen, who was also included in the starting line-up, was partnered up front with Kezman. The beginning was rather tentative and the pace of the in the initial stages was low. After PSV had earned two corners, NAC created the first dangerous moments and PSV had a narrow escape when Penders headed a corner on top of the bar. Moments before Hofland had been dispossessed and Boukhari was on his way to the goal. Waterreus did well to leave the goalmouth and blocked the effort. NAC keeper Babos only had to deal with some long distance shots. On 24 minutes Fehér was given too much space on the right flank. The full right back delivered a fine cross and Boukhari tapped in from close range; 0-1. NAC had deservedly taken the lead. Van Bommel was shown a yellow card for a minor foul on Boukhari by referee Jol, who had earlier waved away harsh fouls committed on Kezman and Robben. Just before half time Diba was booked for an innocent foul on Colin, and soon after the first forty-five minutes of a poor game were over.
