Benfica Releases Ivan Dudic

Benfica and Serbia & Montenegro international defender Ivan Dudic have parted company.

Dudic, who was capped 8 by Yugoslavia, joined Benfica in 2000/2001 when Jupp Heynckes was the manager of the club.

In the end, moving to Portugal ruined Dudic's promising career as he never fit in at Benfica and spent the majority of his 5 year tenure playing for their B team.

The 27-year-old is now free to join a new club and will likely return to his homeland in an attempt to rekindle his career.
