Marcelo Salas out for 2 months



Marcelo Salas will be out of competition for at least two months, following the injury sustained at the Copa Sudamericana final.

At the time it appeard to be a small injury, but a recent medical exam showed a 6cm tear in a muscle in his left leg.

Due to this injury, the Chilean striker will miss the first games of 2004 wich include the start of the Clausura Tournament and Copa Libertadores, for River Plate, and World Cup Qualifying games for the Chile National Team.
