Estrela da Amadora 0 - Benfica 3
Benfica won 0 - 3 agains Estrela in the first Derby United of the season. Benfica, a title candidate, started the game with a goal by the returned portuguese internacional Nuno Gomes at the 2´. Seven minutes later the young star Tiago shooted for the second goal of the night. In just ten minutes de defence of Estrela (the worst of the portuguese Super League) conceded two goals to the Eagles. Things were hard for Estrela already but they become impossible with the goal by Sokota at the 32´.
In the second half we assisted to a boring game with Benfica clearly happy with the result and Estrela resigned to it. Estrela close the year in the last place of the Portuguese league and Benfica will end the year in 3rd place (3 points behind FC Porto that have a game in hand).
