PSV loan Vonlanthen to Brescia

Serie A side Brescia Calcio have signed Swiss international striker Johan Vonlanthen on loan from PSV Eindhoven until the end of the season.

Many happy returns
Vonlanthen, who celebrates his 19th birthday today, impressed at UEFA EURO 2004™, becoming the youngest scorer in a UEFA European Championship finals when he struck against France aged 18 years and 141 days. He will help Brescia in their fight against relegation as they lie second from bottom with 19 points from 21 games.

European experience
The centre-forward began his career with Swiss club BSC Young Boys. He was signed by PSV in November 2002 but moved to the Dutch side only last summer. This season he appeared twice as a substitute in the UEFA Champions League group stage.
