Kilmarnock 0-1 Celtic

Celtic FC went back to the top of the Scottish Premier League thanks to a 1-0 victory against Kilmarnock FC at Rugby Park on Sunday, usurping Rangers FC, who defeated Livingston FC 3-0 at Ibrox 24 hours earlier.

Penalty breaks deadlock

Celtic dominated the opening period but needed a Chris Sutton spot-kick seven minutes before half-time to break the deadlock after Danny Invincible had handled the ball in his own penalty area. The win moves the Parkhead club on to 62 points.
