Amoreirinha loaned to Estoril
Defender Euripides Amoreirinha will play no further part in SL Benfica's UEFA Cup campaign after agreeing to spend the rest of the season on loan at another Portuguese club, GD Estoril-Praia.
Fringe player
The Portuguese Under-21 international joined the Eagles from second division FC Alverca in the summer but was only a fringe player under Giovanni Trapattoni, with four of his eight SuperLiga appearances coming as a substitute. The 20-year-old Amoreirinha also played three times in the UEFA Cup but will be at Estoril when Benfica face PFC CSKA Moskva in the last 32 next month.
