Slavia Sign Midfielder Martin Zboncak



The second acquisition from Dynamo Moscow joined Slavia. Midfielder Martin Zboncak signed a professional contract with Slavia on Tuesday evening. Zboncak - as well as Stanislav Vlcek signed a two-year contract. "We are on the right way. We needed such players, and I plan to use them as first-choice players," said Josef Csaplar. The new players will start training on Wednesday.

"I am glad to have returned to the Czech Republic and that I will play in one of the famous Prague clubs. Slavia is a big club for me," said Martin Zboncak. "I hope I will contribute to the success and return of Slavia to positions where it belongs to," 29-year old footballer said.

Martin Zboncak (* 21. 7. 1975) started playing the first league in Brno, where he stayed until 2001. Than he was transferred to Liberec and won the Czech title - under the coaching duo Csaplar-Skorpil. After the following season he joined Sparta, from where he was transferred to Dynamo Moscow. Slavia agreed on the transfer of both Czech players in recent days. Zboncak made 171 league starts and scored 11 goals.
