HSV 0 - 2 Bayer Munchen



HSV lost the first game of the new Bundesliga season 0-2 to the red hot title favourites Bayern Munich. Despite that fact, the HSV coach Klaus Toppmöller was happy with the way his injury-depleted side, as they faced up to the star-studded Bavarian giants for long period of the match. Visiting coach and former HSV hero Felix Magath, also praised HSV for the pressure that HSV put on his side. Two individual mistakes by Collin Benjamin and second half substitute Paule Beinlich respectively, led to HSV's demise.
