Bundesliga round 25: Gladbach 3 - 0 HSV

HSV travelled to Mönchengladbach a day early, hoping that an extra day's training in the Gladbach stadium would do the trick for Coach Klaus Toppmöller's side. Hoping to grab what would have only been the third win away from home this season, Toppi played Reinhardt who returned from suspension. Their were several raised eyebrows ahead of the round 25 Bundesliga match, as the team sheet showed both Romeo and Mahdavikia on the bench. Instead Toppmöller opted to play Slawi Hleb, HSV's recent signing from Stuttgart.

Gladbach: Reitmaier - Asanin, Gaede, Strasser - Korzynietz, Ulich, Hausweiler, Demo, Carnell - Sverkos, Maric

HSV: Wächter - Wicky, Hoogma, Ujfalusi, Hollerbach - Reinhardt, Benjamin - Jarolim, Barbarez, Rahn - V. Hleb

Goals: 1:0 Strasser (61), 2:0 Sverkos (79), 3:0 Broich (82.)
