Lazio 4-0 Milan
Stefano Fiore struck twice as S.S. Lazio reached the final of the Coppa Italia with a resounding 4-0 victory over holders AC Milan on Wednesday, completing a 6-1 aggregate win.
Under fire
Serie A leaders Milan arrived at Rome's Olympic Stadium hoping to turn around their first-leg deficit but instead found themselves under fire in the first half. Having taken a 2-1 lead into the match, Lazio wasted little time in extending their advantage.
César on target
Brazilian winger César was first on target in the eleventh minute when he ran on to a through-ball and shot low past goalkeeper Christian Abbiati before midfield player Fabio Liverani extended the lead just five minutes later.
Fiore finds net
Fiore then found the net twice in the space of six minutes to make it 4-0 at half-time. In the 36th minute, Bernardo Corradi chested the ball into his path and he fired in from close range. Three minutes before half-time, he volleyed his second goal from the edge of the area.
Brocchi sent off
In the second half Milan had midfield player Cristian Brocchi sent off for dissent. In the final Lazio will face the winner of Thursday's semi-final between FC Internazionale and Juventus FC, who are tied 2-2 after the first leg.
