Benfica in the Portuguese Cup Semi-Final

SL Benfica advanced to the last four of the Portuguese Cup with a dramatic 2-1 home victory over CD Nacional on Wednesday.

Benfica, cup winners 26 times, were trailing 1-0 until two goals in the last five minutes, scored by Tiago Mendes and Tomislav Sokota, turned the game on its head. Nacional, who had led since the 22nd minute when Serginho Baiano scored, finished the match with ten men after Cleomir Santos was sent off in injury time.
