Braga joins Benfica in the last four
SC Braga had to come from behind twice to avoid elimination away to second division Naval Primeiro Maio. Fernando Campagnolo gave Naval a sixth-minute lead and although Paulo Sergio equalised, the underdogs were back in front on 59 minutes when Carlitos Rodrigues struck. However, goals in the last 20 minutes from Wender Said and Igor Fonseca secured a 3-2 win for Braga, for whom Wender could afford a late penalty miss. Naval lost Pedro Mesquita to a red card in added time.
The other 2 teams that got a ticket to the semi final was FC Porto and Belenenses.
