Rudi Völler chooses HSV talent!

Despite the fact that he is currently only second-string at HSV, mainly being brought on as a second half substitute, Christian Rahn has still been called-up to the German national squad to face Croatia, for a friendly match to be played in Split on February 18th, kick-off 8.45 pm. The match will be shown live on the ZDF TV channel.

Rahn delighted

"I'm delighted with the call up, although my primary target is still to establish myself at HSV," said Rahn after he received the call from the German national team coach Rudi Völler. Rahn's last match for his country was in the AOL Arena, as Germany beat Iceland 3-0 in a Euro 2004 qualifier. That match went a long way to ensuring Germany's participation in the tournament which begins in June.
