Mols makes Utrecht return

Michael Mols has rejoined FC Utrecht following his release by Rangers FC in the summer.

Six caps
The 33-year-old striker, capped six times by the Netherlands, played at FC Twente and Cambuur Leeuwarden before signing for Utrecht in 1996. He scored 49 goals for the club in his first spell and signed for Rangers in 1999.

Enthusiastic welcome
After signing the contract, which will keep him at the club until 2006, Mols was welcomed by hundreds of enthusiastic fans at the Galgenwaard Stadium and said: "I have always said that I wanted to come back here one day." Mols will start training for Utrecht next week, although he will not be eligible for the club's UEFA Cup campaign.
