Alexander Medina is the most prolific striker in the Uruguayan football. Medina started to show his talent in Liverpool. In 2002, Liverpool achieved promotion from the Uruguayan 2nd division with the help of Medina's 11 goals. In 2003, already in the 1st division, Medina's 22 goals boosted Liverpool to a fantastic 5th place in the global tournament. The top goalscorer in 2003 captured the attention of one of the Montevideo's giants, Nacional, that signed the striker in January this year. And the signing has already paid back. With 12 goals in the Classification tournament, and 9 in the Apertura tournament, Alexander Medina leads the table of the goalscorers, and was an important part of the winning of the Apertura Tournament by Nacional.
