Ceske Budejovice 1-2 Slavia Praha

Slavia won the first away match in the current season in Ceske Budejovice. The match was not a classic, but the precious and needed points belong to the red-whites. Slavia had two good chances in the first half when Stanislav Vlcek ran all alone to goalkeeper but home keeper Filipko managed to stop his shot with the left leg. The other chance was an excellent long-distance lob from Lumir Sedlacek, which missed just by inches. The decisive moments came in the second half when substitute Evandro Adauto converted the cross of Lumir Sedlacek into the net. Slavia added the second goal after the counter- attack by Karel Pitak. Before that Lumir Sedlacek failed to score after a long solo run face-to-face with the keeper. The dramatic end brought a headed goal of David Lafata but Ceske Budejovice had no time to try to equalise.Slavia recorded the first away win of the season.
