Slavia 0 - 0 Slovacko

The spectacular and eventful match of the eighth round ended in a goalless draw, although there were many scoring opportunies for both sides. Lumir Sedlacek hit the crossbar twice, Adauto and Pavel Kuka wasted two good chances and the goal Slavia scored was disallowed due to the off-side position. On the other side Radek Cerny provided several good saves to deny the strikers of Slovacko and Jan Nezmar missed in a situation when it was almost easier to score. The end of the match brought an unpleasant blow for Slavia - Patrik Gedeon was sent off for unsportsmanlike behaviour and will miss the next match - the famous Prague derby against Sparta that will be played after the break for the World Cup qualifiers on Saturday 16 October.

Slavia line up: R. Cerny - L. Dosek, M. Holenak, R. Bejbl, J. Rychlik - K. Pitak, P. Gedeon, M. Svec (58. M. Zboncak), L. Sedlacek (86. T. Hrdlicka) - P. Kuka, E. Adauto da Silva (68. S. Vlcek)

Slovacko line-up: P. Drobisz - M. Svejnoha, J. Rajnoch, J. Palinek - P. Pavlik, T. Polach, M. Abraham (76. M. Petrzela), L. Jarolim, M. Kadlec - M. Ivana (85. D. Kolar), J. Nezmar (68. Z. Pospech)
