Athletic 2-0 Trabzonspor (Agg 4-3)
Athletic Bilbao won their home game against Trabzonspor to qualify to the next round of the Uefa Cup after losing the first leg.
The Spanish side had in fact lost the first leg 3-2 and therefore needed at least a 1-0 win to pass to the next stage. Bilbao did better than that as they beat their Turkish counterpart with a 2-0 result.
The goals came from Ezquerro in the 5th minute and Yeste who practically closed the encounter in the 70th minute.
Athletic had their morale high following a 2-1 over Real Madrid in the past weekend and this win keeps their good form going which will eventually help them also in La Liga.
