Gattuso makes Milan commitment

AC Milan midfield player Gennaro Gattuso has signed a new contract with the Italian champions that will keep him at the club until 2009.

Trophy triumphs
The 26-year-old Italian international joined the Rossoneri in 1999 from Salernitana Sport and helped them win the UEFA Champions League and Coppa Italia in 2002/03, before playing a crucial part as Carlo Ancelotti's side claimed the Scudetto last season. Gattuso, who made his Serie A debut with AC Perugia in 1996, also spent two seasons with Scottish side Rangers FC, and has represented his country on 31 occasions.

Perfect record
Milan are currently second in Serie A and have maxiumum points in UEFA Champions League Group F after defeating FC Shakhtar Donetsk, Celtic FC and FC Barcelona in their first three games.
