ÍA Akranes beaten twice this week

After losing 1-0 with KR in Reykjavík on Wednesday, with a goal from former ÍA player Arnar Gunnlaugsson from the penalty spot just four minutes into the game, the Akranes side were knocked out of the cup. The winners of last year's cup were beaten yesterday afternoon by second division HK, with a last minute goal from Hordur Mar Magnusson.

ÍA are currently third in the Icelandic Premier League, 3 points behind leaders Fylkir.
