HSV still following van Buyten

The saying goes: "It ain't over until the fat lady dances". That lady could soon be dancing for HSV because reports are indicating that the French club Olympique Marseille, are prepared to reduce their original demand of around 7 million Euros for their classy Belgian defender Daniel van Buyten.

Good mates

The player who is a mate of Emile Mpenza from the Belgian national team, has recently stated that he would like to join HSV, now as usual the bartering over just how much he will cost is in full flow.

Price still too high

Marseille are reportedly now "only" demanding 5,5 million Euros for van Buyten. That figure is much closer to the 4 million offered by HSV to date, so the club is optimistic: "5,5 million is a very high price for a defender, I hope they will further reduce the price," says the player's agent Christophe Henrotay.
