Kezman, most prolific PSV top scorer
Mateja Kezman is not only the topscorer of the 2003-2004 season; he is also the most prolific and efficient PSV top scorer of all times. On Sunday afternoon he took his season’s tally to 31 goals, which means that he is even more effective than he was last season. In the 2002-2003 campaign he scored 35 goals from 33 games, this saeson he netted 31 goals from 29 games. The Serb Montenegrio striker was the Dutch Eredivisie top scorer as many as three times in the past four seasons.
In his four seasons at PSV, Kezman scored105 goals, an average of 26.2 goals a season. No PSV player has ever managed to get close to that performance, not even PSV legend Coen Dillen, neither van der Kuylen, Ronaldo, Romario nor Ruud van Nistelrooij. Coen Dillen scored 24.0 goals on averag, Ronaldo 21.0, Romario 19,6 and Luc Nilis 18.3 goals.
Kezman is now eighth on the all-time PSV-topscorer list. Willy van der Kuylen’ is on, having scored 308 goals and that is an amount that even Kezman will never equal!
