Botafogo lost their second game in the Brasileirão, and immediatly after the end of the game, Botafogo coach, Levir Culpi announced his resignation from the Alvinegros. According to Culpi, the deception in the Brazilian Cup, the insucess in the Rio Championship, an the two straight defeats in the National Championship were more than enough reason to leave the team, when there is still time to turn things around.
