Jardel close to sign for Espanyol

Mario Jardel is set to end his short spell at Bolton by signing for Espanyol.

The club have practically agreed the deal, and only need coach Luis Fernandez to give the go-ahead.

Espanyol tried to secure the player back in November but Bolton asked for £2.5 million and no agreement was reached.

If the Brazilian does complete the move, he will join up with fellow new-boys Mauricio Pochettino and Gregory Vignal.
