Milan 0-1 Juventus
Juventus FC took a major step towards clinching the Serie A title today as David Trezeguet helped Fabio Capello's side to a 1-0 win away against title rivals AC Milan, to move three points clear at the summit.
Del Piero brilliance
Milan booked a place in the UEFA Champions League final with an aggregate victory against PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday, but were sent crashing back to earth at the San Siro as they saw their chances of regaining the domestic title dwindle. In a predictably nervy encounter, it took a moment of individual brilliance from Alessandro Del Piero to separate the sides.
Zambrotta deflection
The Italy striker delivered a spectacular bicycle-kick cross on 28 minutes, for Trezeguet to head in his sixth of the season. The Rossoneri responded well, and almost levelled 12 minutes after half-time when Juve defender Gianluca Zambrotta deflected Filippo Inzaghi's shot just wide. But it was Del Piero who had the best chance to add to the scoreline but saw his header rattle the crossbar.
