Pieckenhagen extends current deal

HSV has announced that an agreement to extend the current contract of goalkeeper Martin Pieckenhagen, has been reached. The keeper has put pen to paper on a deal which will keep him at the AOL Arena until June 30th 2007: "I am delighted that we were able to sort everything out before the second half of the Bundesliga season begins. I can now make plans with my family and am happy that we can stay in Hamburg. I have good things planned with the club which is back on the right track," said Piecke, who joined HSV from Hansa Rostock in 2001. Since then, the popular shot-stopper has played 94 Bundesliga in matches for HSV.
