Sparta 2 - 0 Slavia



Slavia lost the famous derby against Sparta 0-2. The match was equal in the first half, Slavia had the first good chance in 13th minute when Martin Latka headed the ball wide after the free kick of Lumir Sedlacek. The greatest chance of the home side came in the 38th minute when Ales Urbanek headed the ball wide from the box. The best opportunity of the first half belonged to Slavia - in the 45th minute Pavel Kuka hit the crossbar of home goal after the free kick of Adauto. The second half started with another dangerous header, but Pavel Kuka sent the ball just to the hands of Jaromir Blazek. Sparta decided the match within 5 minutes after an hour of play. Defender Jiri Homola scored twice in 63th and 67th minutes. Slavia tried to come back to the match, but In the 76th minute Karel Pitak missed a penalty kick. The unfavourable record in the derby matches in the last years for Slavia was not changed.
