With a 2-0 won in top-level match of WM qualification between the Netherlands and Czechia came HSV-Newcomer Khalid Boulahrouz came back to Hamburg. Boulahrouz was exchanged after 69 minutes and gave a good debut in the national team from headcoach Marco van Basten. He was really happy after his first game in national team " it is great feeling to play in this team and in such a game is something very special. I am so happy"! Because of the win the Netherlands started successful in qualification. The next game for Khalid Boulahrouz could be on 9 october. Then the Netherlands have to play against Macedonia.
Raphael Wicky only supported the national team of switzerland from the tribune because of his rupture of the muscle fibre. Without Wicky, Switzerland played 1-1 against Ireland, only. There is a head to head racing between Switzerland, Ireland, France and Israel in group four.
In group five Belarus with Vyacheslav Hleb played 1-1 against Norway which was a surprise. The other opponents in group are Italia, Slovenia and the team from Berti Vogts-Scotland.
Also Sergej Barbarez and Bosnia-Herzegovina played draw against Spain. They are now on postion three with Spain and Belgium - the team from Mpenza and van Buyten.
