Athletic Bilbao start as favourites to qualify to the next round following a 3-2 defeat away to Trabzonspor in the first leg.

The Spanish side was able to score two late goals after being three goals behind with 20 minutes to go. These two goals place Atletic Bilbao on the driver's seat to qualify to the second round of the Uefa Cup but will need to watch out from the Turkish side who proved that they can be very dangerous when they attack.

On their part, Athletic Bilbao, to overcome Trabzonspor, will need a performance like the one they had last weekend against Real Madrid, in which they defeated their more famous opponents with a good 2-1 win.

Bilbao will have to do without Navarrese who is unavailable due to injury. Trabzonspor are expected to field the same eleven that defeated Athletic two weeks ago in Turkey.
