Goiás 3-1 Botafogo
Botafogo is still in the bottom of the table, after one more lose, this time against Goiás. Man of the match, Paulo Baier, score all three goals for the home team. Botafogo was able to put some pressure over Goiás, scoring 2-1 soon before half time, and started the second half determined to score more, but the sending-off of defender Renatinho with 68 minutes of play ended all hopes for Botafogo. Playing with one more, Goiás closed the scoring with Baier's third of the day.
Next wednesday, Botafogo will play, at home, against league leader, Santos.
