Rommedahl leave PSV

Charlton Athletic FC have agreed an undisclosed fee with PSV Eindhoven for their Danish winger Dennis Rommedahl, the English Premiership club said on Thursday.

Charlton confirmation
PSV said on their website on Wednesday that they had come to agreement with the south London club, although Charlton declined to comment until Thursday. "He is a world-class player and one that has performed particularly well in the 2002 [FIFA]World Cup finals and in the current [UEFA] European Championship," Charlton chief executive Peter Varney told his club's website.

Personal terms
The 26-year-old Rommedahl is expected to discuss personal terms with Charlton after UEFA EURO 2004™. He came on as a substitute as Denmark progressed to the quarter-finals thanks to a 2-2 draw with Sweden on Tuesday.
