Brdaric joins Wolfsburg pack

VfL Wolfsburg have secured the services of international striker Thomas Brdaric, who is currently with Germany's UEFA EURO 2004™ squad in Portugal.

Goals saved Hannover
The 29-year-old forward has signed a three-year deal that will keep him at Wolfsburg until the summer of 2007. He spent last season at Hannover 96 on loan from Bayer 04 Leverkusen, scoring 12 goals in 28 games to help keep the club in the Bundesliga.

'Tough decision'
"The decision was a tough one to make," Brdaric said. "My first priority was to find a club with good prospects with a view to the [FIFA] World Cup finals in 2006 to be played in Germany. That is the case with Wolfsburg."

Three caps
Brdaric has so far played a total of 130 Bundesliga matches, scoring 27 times, and has won three international caps for Germany.
