Botafogo 2-2 Atlético Mineiro



With Luiz Matter temporarily commanding the team, Botafogo got it's first point in the Brasileirão, after drawing with Atlético Mineiro, in Caio Martins, Rio de Janeiro. The Alvinegros got back from a 0-2 disadvantage in the first half, but recovered after Valdo's goals gave strength to team, that managed the second, by Camacho, with ten minutes to play.

BOAFOGO: Jefferson, Márcio Gomes, Sandro, Gustavo e Jorginho Paulista (Daniel); Fernando, Carlos Alberto, Valdo e Têti (Camacho); Almir e Luizão (Hugo).

ATLÉTICO-MG: Eduardo, Carlinhos, Adriano, Luiz Alberto e Rubens Cardoso; Hélcio, Márcio Araújo (Juninho Cearense), Renato e Dejair (Zé Luís); Alex Mineiro e Quirino (Wagner).

GOALS: 0-1, Quirino (20'); 0-2, Quirino (22'); 1-2, Valdo (68'); 2-2, Camacho (80').
