Celtic 2-0 Aberdeen

In-form Maciej Zurawski scored one and made another as Celtic moved to within two points of Hearts, and three clear of Rangers, with an assured 2-0 victory over Aberdeen. Stilian Petrov’s was the other name on the scoresheet as Jimmy Calderwood's Dons were comfortably put to the sword with a performance that was solid rather than spectacular, but which nevertheless yielded a victory made all the more satisfying and potentially significant by Alex McLeish’s side dropping two points at Falkirk.

CELTIC: Boruc; Telfer, Balde, McManus, Camara; Petrov, Lennon, Nakamura (Maloney, 71'), Thompson (Pearson, 90'); Hartson (Beattie, 71'), Zurawski

ABERDEEN: Esson; Anderson, Severin, Diamond; McNaughton (Considine, 57'), Smith, Nicholson, Clark, Byrne (Muirhead, 66'); Crawford, Lovell (Stewart, 71')

GOALS: 1-0, Zurawski (13'); 2-0, Petrov (62')
