Benny Feilhaber has joined Hamburg

Hamburger SV have completed the signing of United States Under-20 international Benny Feilhaber.

Three-year deal
The 20-year-old midfielder, who previously played college football for UCLA Bruins, sealed the switch after agreeing a three-year contract. Feilhaber impressed Hamburg during the recent FIFA World Youth Championship in the Netherlands, where the US reached the Round of 16.

Sigma semi-final
The youngster could be given an early chance to underline his potential in the UEFA Intertoto Cup. The Bundesliga side completed a 3-0 aggregate victory against Portuguese outfit UD Leiria on Saturday to set up a semi-final against SK Sigma Olomouc. The first leg will be played in the Czech Republic on Wednesday.
