Van Hooijdonk heading home
Dutch international striker Pierre van Hooijdonk will return to NAC Breda from Fenerbahçe SK in the summer.
One-year deal
The 35-year-old spent three and a half years with NAC from 1991 after joining them from his first club RBC Roosendaal. He will move back to the Eredivisie side on 1 July, having agreed a one-year contract with NAC coach Ton Lokhoff.
UEFA Cup winner
Van Hooijdonk had attracted interest from England and Spain but took the advice of national team coach Marco van Basten before accepting NAC's offer. After his first spell at the club, Van Hooijdonk played for Celtic FC, Nottingham Forest FC, SBV Vitesse, SL Benfica and Feyenoord. He lifted the 2002 UEFA Cup with the latter team before switching to Fenerbahçe in summer 2003, winning the Turkish title in his first season.
