Livorno 1-0 Milan
Milan went down to a 1-0 defeat at Livorno and have now failed to win or score away from the San Siro since December 4. While the matches at Juventus and Palermo were played in a dominant manner, the same cannot be said for the encounter at the ’Stadio Picchi’ where despite Kaka hitting the post it was the home side that created the better chances. Once again a set-piece situation led to a goal as Dida did well to save Jose Luis Vidigal’s close range header from a deep free-kick but could do nothing to stop Corrado Colombo’s follow-up. The Rossoneri attempted to get back on level terms but Alessandro Nesta’s late sending-off summed up the afternoon.
