Fenerbahçe sign Önder Turaci

Turkish champions Fenerbahçe SK have won the race to sign R. Standard de Liège defender Önder Turaci after the 22-year-old player signed a four-year contract.

Red Devil rejection
The Istanbul outfit, who begin their European campaign in the UEFA Champions League group stage next season, have paid €2m for Önder's services. The Belgian-born player represented the Red Devils 12 times at Under-21 level but recently rejected the chance to play for them at senior international level.

Turkey choice
Instead, he preferred to take his place in the Turkey squad that travelled to Australia and the Korean Republic. However he did not play during the tour and is therefore still waiting for his first senior cap.
