Peñarol 4-1 Liga Deportiva (4-4 agg, Copa Libertadores)



Peñarol became a goal short of qualifying to the regular fase of the Copa Libertadores. After loosing 3-0 in Ecuador, the teams battled in Montevideo, and Peñarol needed to win by a four goal difference. Liga Deportiva scored first, and Peñarol managed to recover, with three goals in the second half, but not enough to secure qualifycation.
