SPORTING WINS ON A POOR MATCH

On Saturday, second-placed Sporting Clube de Portugal bounced back from last week's shock 4-0 defeat by Rio Ave FC, edging out FC Paços de Ferreira 1-0 thanks to an 88th-minute winner from Liédson. Both Cadú, for the visitors, and Ánderson Polga, for the hosts, were sent off in a fiercely-contested encounter.
The match was a poor one and the visitor Paços de Ferreira had several chances to win the game.
This Sporting seems the worst of the all season. The second place and the acess for the Uefa Champions League are on serious risk.
