Paris Saint-Germain 1 - 0 Ajaccio

Third-placed Paris Saint-Germain could hardly have wished a better scenario. The capital side beat Ajaccio by the smallest of margins with a second-half penalty converted by Pauleta. But the point is that PSG boast a 7-point advance on Sochaux and therefore look Champions League-bound. They could also threaten Lyon and Monaco, since they sit only 3 points behind the leaders.

PSG : Alonzo - Pierre-Fanfan, Déhu, Heinze, Mendy - Cana, Fiorèse (Reinaldo, 87e), M'Bami, Sorin - Pauleta (El Karkouri, 90e), Ljuboja (Benachour, 83e). Entr. : Halilhodzic.

Ajaccio : Trevisan - Demont, Robin (Granon, 90e), Seck, Terrier, Collin, Danjou - Diabaté (Abdoun, 81e), Grégoire - Diomede (Loko, 72e), Bagayoko. Entr. : Bijotat.

Goal : Pauleta (68e)
